Lenovo To Buy Germany's Medion For $900M

Law360, New York (June 1, 2011, 1:25 PM EDT) -- Lenovo Group Ltd. said Wednesday that it would buy Germany-based PC company Medion AG for more than $900 million, in a deal designed to boost the Chinese company's presence in Western Europe.

In a stock-and-cash transaction, Lenovo, the world's No. 4 PC brand, will pay €13 for Medion's outstanding shares — a 29 percent premium over the company's average closing price over the past 30 days and a 27 percent premium over its average closing price for the past 90 days, according to the companies....
