Goldman Hit With Subpoena Over MBS Antics

Law360, New York (June 2, 2011, 3:21 PM EDT) -- New York's district attorney has reportedly subpoenaed Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in the wake of a Senate report that pilloried the bank for peddling, and betting against, mortgage-backed securities designed to fail.

Goldman received a subpoena from New York County District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., putting the Wall Street colossus in the hot seat again over the way it designed and marketed structured financial products, such as collateralized debt obligations, prior to the financial crisis, the New York Times reported.
