Law360, New York (June 03, 2011, 12:45 PM ET) -- Having secured a $53 million patent infringement verdict against U.S. Bancorp last year, DataTreasury Corp. on Thursday hit the bank with another suit in Texas federal court over the same digital check imaging patents.
The suit claims that the bank's new DepositPoint Mobile service, which allows users to deposit checks by scanning them with their smartphone, infringes the same two patents that a jury found in March 2010 that U.S. Bancorp had willfully infringed.
