L-3 Settles $15M Secrets Suit Against Ex-Workers

Law360, New York (June 6, 2011, 1:30 PM EDT) -- L-3 Services Inc. on Thursday settled its patent infringement, trade secrets and contract suit in Virginia against former employees who allegedly launched a company based on stolen biodecontamination technology.

U.S. District Judge Robert G. Doumar gave his blessing to a consent order that permanently enjoined former L-3 scientist Ralph Sias, former L-3 consultant Jeffrey Szekely and two other individuals from infringing the four patents-in-suit or misappropriating L-3's trade secrets. Upon entry of the order, the claims at issue were dismissed with prejudice, the consent order said....
