Honeywell Files New GPS Patent Suit Against Furuno

Law360, New York (June 7, 2011, 2:54 PM EDT) -- Honeywell International Inc. hit Japan's Furuno Electric Co. Ltd. with a new infringement suit over GPS patents Monday in the U.S. International Trade Commission, while a case between the companies in Minnesota federal court over the same products was stayed pending re-examination.

In the new case, Honeywell claims that Furuno's GPS products for boats, including the Satellite Compass, NavNet 3D and MaxSea Software, infringe four patents.
