Law360, New York (June 08, 2011, 3:00 PM ET) -- Window and door manufacturer Pella Corp. sued Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Iowa on Tuesday seeking coverage for defense and settlement costs stemming from underlying product liability suits.
Pella is trying to force Liberty Mutual to provide it with coverage under two excess indemnity insurance policies from 2000 to 2002 intended to provide a cap on the “substantial” self-insured amounts Pella has to pay under commercial general liability policies also issued by the insurer.
