Tower Accuses Creditors Of Discovery By Stealth

Law360, New York (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tower Records has asked a court for protection against a creditor’s request for documents on the company’s financial status, saying the discovery sought was an underhanded attempt to get a “head start” in a separate lawsuit.

The bankrupt music retailer claims Warner/Elektra/Atlantic Corp.’s request for information was a transparent bid for leverage in a $70 million adversary case launched by Tower’s trade vendor creditors.
