Suit Filed Over Semiconductor Patents

Law360, New York (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Inc. has sued industry rival Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. for allegedly infringing two patents related to metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor or MOSFET products.

In a complaint filed Thursday with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, AOS accused Fairchild of infringing one patent related to the semiconductor chip itself and another patent related to packaging that protects the semiconductor chip from such things as humidity, heat and dust.
