Fed. Circ. Won't Revive IP Suit Against Cisco, Others

Law360, New York (June 14, 2011, 7:22 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Tuesday upheld the dismissal of lawsuits accusing Cisco Systems Inc., Juniper Networks Inc. and others of patent infringement because Enhanced Security Research LLC had sold the right to sue over the network security patents to another company.

In a nonprecedential per curiam opinion, the appeals court upheld a Delaware federal judge's decision to dismiss ESR's patent suits over two network security patents for lack of standing because the company had dealt the patents' rights to Security Research Holdings LLC in 2009....
