Nautilus Tries To Duck Bill For Pastor Sex Abuse Scandal

Law360, New York (June 15, 2011, 7:43 PM EDT) -- Nautilus Insurance Co. filed suit in Arkansas federal court Wednesday in an effort to avoid paying for a sex abuse suit against convicted pastor Tony Alamo, as well as litigation over the alleged desecration of his wife's corpse.

The policies issued to seven followers of Tony Alamo Christian Ministries and three affiliated organizations do not cover several lawsuits — including litigation alleging sexual abuse and bodily desecration — because those followers made misrepresentations when applying for the policies, Nautilus claims.
