BP Spill Judge Drops Third-Party Enviro Claims

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 6:44 PM EDT) -- The Louisiana federal judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation over the BP PLC oil spill on Thursday threw out all environmental law claims filed by citizens’ organizations, saying they lacked standing to seek injunctive relief because the spill had been stemmed and the cleanup was underway.
