Law360, New York (May 21, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Diagnostic company AmeriPath Inc. filed counterclaims Friday in a patent infringement suit brought by Luxembourg-based biotech company Advanced Biological Laboratories SA over HIV treatment patents.
ABLSA filed suit against AmeriPath in January in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claiming that AmeriPath products, like its HIV-1 Phenoscript test, infringed on two of ABLSA’s patents.
HIV-1 Phenoscript is made by Specialty Laboratories, a clinical reference laboratory that recently merged with AmeriPath.
