Broadcom Challenges Freescale-Rambus Patent Deal

Law360, New York (June 20, 2011, 3:57 PM EDT) -- Broadcom Corp. on Friday objected to Rambus Inc. and Freescale Semiconductor Inc.'s attempt to close the book on their patent dispute in the U.S. International Trade Commission, saying the companies should fully disclose the terms of their settlement agreements.

Rambus had filed a complaint with the ITC on Dec. 1 as part of a major offensive against the semiconductor sector, alleging that Freescale, Broadcom, LSI Corp., MediaTek Inc., Nvidia Corp., STMicroelectronics NV and a slew of other rivals were infringing its memory controller patents.
