Gay Ex-Sullivan & Cromwell Associate Adds Claims

Law360, New York (May 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A gay former associate who has accused Sullivan & Cromwell LLP of discrimination has added claims that the firm’s employees intentionally caused him emotional distress and conspired to violate his human rights.

The new claims come after a New York State Supreme Court judge dismissed Aaron B. Charney’s original complaint against his one-time employer on April 30, ruling that some of his allegations were irrelevant to the claims he brought under state civil procedure laws.
