Fish & Neave, Ropes & Gray To Merge

Law360, New York (November 10, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a deal that will create one of the largest intellectual property practices in the world, New York IP specialist Fish & Neave will be absorbed by Boston general-practice firm Ropes & Gray, the two firms confirmed on Tuesday.

The combined firm, which will be called Ropes & Gray but retain the Fish & Neave brand for the IP practice group, will have about 750 lawyers and 50 patent agents and technical specialists.
