Alpha, United Coal Workers Sentenced Over Safety Docs

Law360, New York (June 22, 2011, 6:18 PM EDT) -- A West Virginia federal judge on Tuesday sentenced two former employees of mining companies Alpha Natural Resources Inc. and United Coal Co. for falsifying mine safety inspection records, while one defendant's attorney chided the government for prosecuting "peons" instead of executives.
