Law360, Los Angeles (June 22, 2011, 5:23 PM ET) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. can't have a sneak peek at Apple Inc.’s next generation of iPhone and iPad mobile devices, a California federal judge ruled Tuesday in a brewing intellectual property fight between the companies.
U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh denied Samsung’s motion for expedited discovery that would have required the notoriously secretive Apple to hand over copies of the iPhone 5 and iPad 3, finding that her May order requiring Samsung to turn over prerelease products didn’t require Apple to do the same.
