Farmers Ask High Court To Hear Smelt Protection Suit

Law360, New York (June 24, 2011, 6:35 PM EDT) -- A group of California nut farmers on Friday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear their challenge to the federal government's efforts to protect the Delta smelt, which the farmers argue is unconstitutional, hurts agriculture and does not help the endangered fish.
