IP.com Introduces Free Prior Art Database

Law360, New York (November 5, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- IP.com launched a free online database that allows individuals to perform prior art searches using the same data that is available to patent examiners worldwide, the company said.

Using the new database, users can freely search and browse documents. Full document downloads are available for a per-document fee to users of the free site. Subscription users of the premium service can download documents at no additional charge.

This site is the publicly accessible counterpart to the subscription-based corporate search facilities found in the IP.com Prior Art...
