Law360, New York (June 27, 2011, 9:26 PM ET) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit Monday accusing Abercrombie & Fitch Stores Inc. of suspending and then firing a California college student for wearing a headscarf at work in accordance with her religious beliefs.
The EEOC filed suit on behalf of Hani Khan, 20, a college student and practicing Muslim who worked for four months at a San Mateo, Calif., location of Hollister Co., a subsidiary of Abercrombie.
