Tourre, SEC Ready For Global Discovery In CDO Case

Law360, New York (June 27, 2011, 3:19 PM ET) -- Lawyers for former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. vice president Fabrice Tourre told a New York federal judge on Monday that they may seek witness testimony worldwide — including in Germany, the U.K. and Singapore — in litigation surrounding the now-infamous Abacus investment deal.

Allen & Overy LLP attorney Pamela Chepiga, who is representing Tourre, who engineered the collateralized debt obligation allegedly rigged to fail, told a judge the defendant may need substantial time for those discovery efforts.
