NBA Star Arenas Aims To Block Ex From 'Wives' Show

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 8:14 PM ET) -- The Orlando Magic's Gilbert Arenas is the latest pro basketball player to launch legal action over the reality TV show "Basketball Wives," suing his ex-fiancee in California federal court on Thursday for allegedly violating his trademark by starring in the show.

Arenas claims that his ex-fiancee Laura Govan, the mother of his four children, is illegally using his name and persona to profit from her connection with him by starring in the Los Angeles version of the reality show.
