Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 2:01 PM ET) -- Two former executives at Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. alleged Friday that the company colluded with former New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer to scapegoat them during a bid-rigging investigation, adding claims to a suit over the former executives’ terminations.
William Gilman and Edward McNenney allege in an amended complaint that Marsh offered the men up for prosecution in 2004 in return for Spitzer’s guarantee that he wouldn’t bring criminal charges against the insurance broker itself.
