Jacobs Engineering Hit With FLSA Overtime Action

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 6:07 PM ET) -- A former employee of Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. on Monday filed a proposed collective action in South Carolina accusing the company of withholding overtime pay by misclassifying employees as exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Donald Winn, the named plaintiff, claims that he and other employees at the construction giant's Charleston location did not receive proper compensation for regularly working more than 40 hours per week in positions he claims fell within FLSA requirements for overtime pay.
