Commerce Says Norway Salmon Duties Should Stay

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 2:57 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce said Tuesday it had preliminarily concluded that revoking countervailing duties on Atlantic salmon from Norway would lead to a recurrence of subsidies.

The International Trade Administration said in a Federal Register notice that as a result of a five-year sunset review of the duties, it concluded that ending them would result in the imposition of countervailable subsidies of 2.2 percent by value.
