Chrysler Unit Can't Exit Blind Woman's Airbag Suit

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 3:39 PM EDT) -- An Illinois appellate court ruled Friday that Chrysler Canada Inc. cannot exit a suit brought by a woman claiming she lost her vision when a defective airbag module door fractured during a car accident, sending plastic fragments flying after the airbag deployed.

Plaintiff Ester Soria brought the case after losing vision in both of her eyes as a result of a car crash involving a 1998 Plymouth Voyager minivan that Chrysler Canada assembled in Canada.
