Somaxon Sues Mylan Again Over Generic Silenor

Law360, New York (June 29, 2011, 6:18 PM EDT) -- Branded prescription drug company Somaxon Pharmaceuticals Inc. slapped Mylan Inc. with another patent infringement lawsuit in Delaware federal court on Tuesday over its plan to market a generic version of Somaxon's insomnia treatment Silenor.

The suit marks Somaxon's latest offensive in its expanding campaign to keep generic versions of Silenor off the market. The brand-name company currently has at least one other suit pending against Mylan over the insomnia drug, and in recent months it has launched infringement actions against a handful of other generic-drug makers...
