Qwest To Settle OT Class Action For $1M

Law360, New York (June 29, 2011, 8:18 PM EDT) -- Qwest Corp. on Wednesday settled with network technicians who filed a class action against the telecom company for overtime wages, asking a federal judge in Minnesota to sign off on the nearly $1 million deal.

The settlement ends a class action filed in 2007 by technicians who accused Qwest, now owned by CenturyLink Inc., of forcing them to meet a demanding number of jobs each day, requiring the employees to work extra hours and through lunch breaks without overtime pay.
