Judge Won't Revisit Ruling On Verizon TV Tech Claims

Law360, New York (June 30, 2011, 6:02 PM ET) -- A Virginia federal judge refused Thursday to reconsider his decision to trim Verizon Communications Inc.’s counterclaims in a patent suit brought by ActiveVideo Networks Inc. over interactive TV technology, saying Verizon’s request for a second look was too little, too late.

U.S. District Judge Raymond A. Jackson said he would not allow Verizon to essentially use a motion for reconsideration to expand an argument the company had failed to adequately develop in its original brief.
