Ex-Mich. Congressman Tied To NM Pay-To-Play Plot

Law360, New York (July 01, 2011, 4:23 PM ET) -- The investment manager for New Mexico's state funds said in a lawsuit Thursday that former Rep. Bob Carr, R-Mich., received a $100,000 kickback in an alleged pay-to-play scheme involving ex-Gov. Bill Richardson's administration.

Carr was named in an amended complaint filed in the New Mexico First Judicial District Court by the State Investment Council, which updated a May 6 suit aimed at recovering money from more than a dozen individuals and a private equity adviser named in the suit.
