ITC Affirms Apple Win In Elan Touch-Screen Patent Case

Law360, New York (July 1, 2011, 3:29 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission determined Thursday that Apple Inc. did not violate U.S. trade law by selling or importing touch-screen devices that allegedly infringed an Elan Microelectronics Corp. patent, upholding an ITC judge's earlier finding. 

The ITC issued a notice agreeing with Administrative Law Judge Paul Luckern's April 29 initial determination that Apple had not violated section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
