Lodsys Targets NYT, Others Over Data Exchange IP

Law360, San Diego (July 5, 2011, 6:43 PM EDT) -- Expanding a patent infringement campaign in Texas, Lodsys LLC accused The New York Times Co. and five others Tuesday of misusing technology that allows companies and users to electronically share information.

The Marshall, Texas-based plaintiff, which has launched a series of patent suits in recent months, lodged the complaint against the newspaper as well as DriveTime Automotive Group Inc., ESET LLC, ForeSee Results Inc., LivePerson Inc. and OpinionLab Inc.
