Universal Health Seeks Va. Docs In Medicaid FCA Suit

Law360, New York (July 5, 2011, 8:24 PM EDT) -- Universal Health Services Inc. asked a Virginia federal court Tuesday to force the production of state documents in a lawsuit accusing the company of discrimination, submitting false Medicaid claims for youth treatment services and retaliation against purported whistleblowers.

The U.S. and Virginia have intervened in the suit that three therapists originally filed under seal in 2007 over alleged practices at the Marion Youth Center in Smyth County, Va.
