Medicare Fraud Charges Brought In Florida

Law360, New York (May 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida said Tuesday that it has charged 16 defendants with trying to bilk Medicare out of $101 million.

All but one of the charges, which were filed in seven different lawsuits over the past two weeks, involved durable medical equipment, or DME, which is ordered by doctors for use in the home.
