Samsung Slapped With Videophone Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 8, 2011, 6:28 PM EDT) -- Visual Interactive Phone Concepts Inc. filed a lawsuit in Michigan federal court on Thursday accusing Samsung Telecommunications America LLC of infringing two patents covering an interactive mailbox facility system for videophones.

New York-based VIPC alleges that Samsung's 4G phones and its mobile video delivery system violate U.S. Patent Numbers 5,606,361 and 5,724,092, and that the electronics giant's infringement of the patents has been intentional and willful.
