Law360, New York (July 08, 2011, 12:47 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Thursday trimmed monopolization claims from tomato canner Stanislaus Food Products Co.'s lawsuit accusing U.S. Steel Corp. and Posco American Steel Corp. of fixing prices for steel sheets used to make cans.
Granting in part the defendants' motion to dismiss the suit, U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. O'Neill dismissed federal and state law monopolization claims with prejudice but allowed both federal and state law restraint of trade claims to move forward.
