Legal Industry Lost 2,600 Jobs In June, Report Says

Law360, New York (July 11, 2011, 7:38 PM EDT) -- A survey released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 2,600 fewer jobs in the U.S. legal industry in June, reversing small gains in the legal job market in April and May.

The agency reported 1,108,800 legal industry jobs in June, down from 1,111,400 in May. The losses came amid a stagnant job market that added just 18,000 jobs last month, according to the BLS.
