Simpson Thacher Reps Apax In $6B Kinetic Concepts Deal

Law360, New York (July 13, 2011, 5:21 PM EDT) -- Medical device company Kinetic Concepts Inc. announced Wednesday that it would be acquired by a consortium of funds led by private equity firm Apax Partners in a $6.3 billion cash deal.

The investment group, which includes affiliates of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board, will acquire KCI for $68.50 per share, which represents a 21 percent premium to the one-month average price through July 5.
