New House Panel Aims To Fix Pentagon's Finances

Law360, New York (July 13, 2011, 2:23 PM EDT) -- The House Committee on Armed Services announced Wednesday that it had formed a bipartisan panel to address ongoing problems with the U.S. Department of Defense's financial management and fight to reduce wasteful spending.

The panel will be led by Reps. Mike Conaway, R-Texas, and Rob Andrews, D-N.J., who previously headed a review of the Pentagon's acquisition strategy, according to Armed Services Committee Chairman Buck McKeon, R-Calif.
