Ill. Court Affirms $18M Verdict In Pain Patch Death

Law360, New York (July 13, 2011, 5:25 PM EDT) -- An Illinois appeals court affirmed an $18 million jury verdict against Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Alza Corp., which were sued by the survivors of a woman who died after using a defective Duragesic painkiller patch, according to an opinion published Wednesday.
