Cinergy, Others Indicted In Haiti Bribery Case

Law360, New York (July 13, 2011, 5:57 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors indicted Cinergy Telecommunications Inc., two former company executives and an ex-Haitian government official as additional defendants Tuesday in an ongoing Florida criminal case over an alleged bribery scheme at Haiti's state-owned telecommunications company.

A superseding indictment added the Miami-based Cinergy, its former president and CEO Washington Vasconez Cruz, its ex-director Amadeus Richers, and its former general director of Telecommunications D'Haiti Patrick Joseph to criminal proceedings over an alleged scheme that has already landed several other defendants in prison.
