TriQuint Destroyed Evidence In IP, Monopoly Suit: Avago

Law360, New York (July 19, 2011, 7:45 PM ET) -- Avago Technologies Ltd. asked an Arizona federal judge Monday to sanction rival TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. for allegedly destroying evidence that would have supported Avago's counterclaims in a suit by TriQuint alleging patent infringement and monopolistic behavior.

Avago said in its motion for spoliation sanctions that three of its competitor's employees purposefully destroyed information on TriQuint's alleged theft of trade secrets related to bulk acoustic wave duplexer devices that are at issue in TriQuint's suit, thus scuttling Avago's counterclaims.
