EPA Hit With Suit Over Ozone Pollution In Calif.

Law360, New York (July 19, 2011, 1:56 PM EDT) -- Environmental groups on Monday accused the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of neglecting a May deadline for determining whether California's San Joaquin Valley had combated ozone pollution well enough to meet a national air quality standard.

Medical Advocates for Healthy Air and the Sierra Club slapped the EPA with a complaint in California federal court, the latest in a barrage of suits filed against the agency over air pollution in the San Joaquin Valley.
