'Idol' Creator Sues Fox, Fremantle Over 'X Factor' Deal

Law360, San Diego (July 20, 2011, 9:46 PM EDT) -- The creator of “American Idol” accused Fox Broadcasting Co. and FremantleMedia North America Inc. in California state court Wednesday of failing to provide him with an executive producer credit for the upcoming “X Factor” TV show as required by an agreement that helped resolve a copyright infringement suit.
