Private Sector Pushes CPSC On FY 2013 Priorities

Law360, Washington (July 20, 2011, 3:08 PM EDT) -- Private sector representatives urged the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Wednesday not to put undue burdens of compliance on industry and to strengthen existing regulations as the commission considers its priorities for the 2013 fiscal year.

Industry is “hungry” for a regulatory framework that is “simple, logical, easy to understand and based on risk,” American Apparel and Footwear Association executive vice president Stephen Lamar told the commission.
