BP Gulf Spill Fund To Be Independently Audited

Law360, New York (July 20, 2011, 10:59 PM EDT) -- The $20 billion claims fund set up for victims of the BP PLC oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico last year will be independently audited, news reports revealed Wednesday.

In a letter to Gulf Coast Claims Facility Administrator Kenneth Feinberg, Attorney General Eric Holder said an audit needed to begin before the end of 2011, according to the Associated Press.
