Express Scripts' $29B Medco Buy To Face Antitrust Test

Law360, New York (July 21, 2011, 2:31 PM EDT) -- Express Scripts Inc. revealed plans Thursday to acquire rival pharmacy benefit manager Medco Health Solutions Inc. in a $29.1 billion cash-and-stock deal that experts say is likely to draw significant antitrust scrutiny.

Under the agreement announced Thursday, Medco shareholders would receive $71.36 per share in cash and stock in a deal the firms said had been unanimously approved by the companies' boards of directors.
