Bill To Curb NLRB Authority Moves Ahead In House

Law360, New York (July 21, 2011, 6:46 PM EDT) -- A U.S. House of Representatives panel on Thursday swiftly advanced a bill that would bar the National Labor Relations Board from being able to order employers to relocate or transfer a business.

The House Committee on Education and the Workforce voted 23-16, without holding a hearing, to approve the Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act, or H.R. 2587, which was introduced Tuesday. All the Republicans on the panel supported the legislation, while all Democrats opposed it.
