Mass. Judge Tosses ConnectU IP Suit Against Facebook

Law360, New York (July 22, 2011, 4:31 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Massachusetts on Friday tossed an intellectual property lawsuit brought by the three founders of ConnectU Inc. against Facebook Inc. founder Mark Zuckerberg after the trio dropped their fight over a reported $65 million settlement with Zuckerberg.

U.S. District Judge Douglas P. Woodlock filed a brief order granting Facebook's July 7 motion to dismiss the case, in which Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narendra had accused Zuckerberg of stealing the basic idea for Facebook as well as proprietary code from ConnectU....
