CDER Report Adds To New FDA Research Agenda

Law360, New York (July 25, 2011, 7:22 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Drug and Evaluation Research on Monday released a draft report highlighting major areas of scientific need aimed at helping the agency craft a strategic science and research agenda.

The report, titled “Identifying CDER's Science and Research Needs,” described seven categories of concern — including the need for improved access to post-market data sources, improved clinical trials and enhanced individualization of patient treatment — most commonly cited in interviews with more than 200 CDER employees.
